Toshiba HD-A1 and HD-XA1 Firmware Update Coming

Toshiba is about to distribute the first firmware update for its HD DVD players.
The new firmware update is foremost speeding up the boot time of the HD-A1 and HD-XA1.
Several reviews mentioned the long start-up wait time of the Linux powered HD DVD players.
Other improvements include better black levels on the HDMI interface and better stability.
Toshiba is distributing the update on a disc and also via the Internet. The Toshiba HD DVD players have an Ethernet plug to be connected to the net.
