Citizen beats Seiko to the market with a Bluetooth enabled wristwatch.
Update:
Fossil Sells Bluetooth Watches in US Now
Seiko is showing Bluetooth watch prototypes since about 2001. Just last March Seiko showed another Bluetooth watch that is supposed to be available in 2007. Today Citizen announced their Bluetooth wristwatch VIRT.
The Citizen VIRT is going to be on sale starting July 7th in Japan. Only 5,000 pieces will be made available.
Incoming calls on your mobile phone are displayed on the Citizen Bluetooth watch. Vibration and light flashing indicate an incoming call. Also if you leave your cell phone behind the Citizen VIRT will notify you.
More details on Wrist Dreams.
It got very quiet about wristwatch phones. A Bluetooth enabled watch is the next best thing.
