About a month ago we got details about a Secure USB flash drive. But now, there's another flash drive that's pretty secure, but in a different context of the word. It's being dubbed as the most rugged USB flash drive in the world. That's because it's waterproof, fireproof, and yes, bulletproof. I'll just let this quote from their Saturday press release do the talking:
"PRETEC i-Disk BulletProof is constructed with double layers of sealed protective metal, capable of preventing circuit damage from water, fire, and even shielding the heavy impact of a bullet."So if you're a pyromaniac swimmer and you're a hunting partner of Dick Cheney, then this USB flash drive from Pretec is for you. Otherwise, I'm sure this product is more properly designed for the military. It does offer an array of other features as well, like password protection, programmable auto-execute functionality, and encryption. Right now the i-Disk BulletProof is only commercially available at select online stores.
