The RoboCup 2006 ended in Bremen Germany yesterday with Germany winning 11 of the 33 robot soccer categories.
Japan is only 3rd with 6 wins after China who won in 9 categories. Surprisingly Iran is fourth with 5 wins. Iran the new robot super-power?

The RoboCup 2007 takes place in the United States in Atlanta. Maybe then also US teams are under the top robot soccer teams.

As reported the RoboCup 2006 had 30 countries represented, along with 2,500 scientists and 440 registered teams.
