Taiwanese Antig Technology is to commercialize a direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) product later this 2006.
The first Antig fuel cell will have 16W of power and is aimed at charging portable devices. The fuel cell will use 70ml methanol cartridges. Output voltages range from 5V to 17V.
Antig Technology is supposed to sell the cartridges for $5, and the fuel cell (most likely called Begini) device will be priced under $5,000.
