There is another robot soccer world cup taking place in Germany called FIRA 2006 RoboWorld.

In June the RoboCup took also place in Germany. The RoboCup is a way bigger event. The FIRA robot cup is actually one year older than the RoboCup.

There are 55 teams at the RoboWorld 2006. The robot in the photo is called Manus and comes from Singapore. You actually can buy one of these on the robhatahsite (Thanks Tee W.). The highlight of the event is the RoboKeeper, a goalkeeper robot from the Fraunhofer Institute.
German Heise has published coverage from the event. See also the FIRA Worldcup site.
