Panasonic just announced a week ago that their world's largest Plasma TV is becoming available at the end of 2006 to business customers. Today they announced the 103 inch Plasma 1080p HDTV dubbed Viera TH-103PZ600 in Japan.
The Panasonic TH-103PZ600 comes with a terrestrial Hi-Vision tuner for Japanese HD channels. The contrast ratio is actually 4000:1. Earlier statements talked about only 3000:1.
To see if the Panasonic TH-103PZ600 fits in your living room here are the measurements: 2414x1748x871mm. The weight is 322kg. The Panasonic PZ600 series includes besides the 103 inch model also a 65 inch, 58 inch and 50 inch one. Pricing is still open. AkihabaraNews claims it is about 41,000 Euro (~$51,000). Orders are taken by Panasonic in Japan starting in September.
