Hitachi announced teh W37L-H9000 LCD HDTV in Japan.
The Hitachi WOOO W37L-H9000 features a new panel with 178 degrees field of view using the new ISP alpha technology. The resolution is 1366x768 pixels and the brightness is 500cd/m2.
The integrated digital video recorder uses two tuners and has a 250GB capacity. The Hitachi recorder uses XCodeHD to compress the hi-vision video without reducing the resolution.The W37L-H9000 with integrated digital recorder will sell for about 350,000 yen (~$3050) starting in September.
