Benchmarks

Features
ISkin offers two different Vibes cases for the 8900. Both of the cases are translucent and flexible material that is environmentally safe and odor-free. The material is designed to resist impacts and abrasions as well as resisting tears. Along with the flexible case itself, a clear screen protector is offered as well.

In Use
ISkin offers two different Vibes cases; the plain Vibes case is available in translucent red, blue, or black colors. The ISkin Vibes FX is offered in translucent purple, orange, teal, and green colors. The main difference between the two cases is obvious when you look at them. The Vibes FX has an argyle print molded into the case to give a bit of style to the handset.

The Vibes screen overlay film is clear while the Vibes FX film is mirrored. One of the cooler features of the cases is that they have clear protective layer that sits over the camera flash to keep it from being scratched. The lens is left uncovered though.

The cases are both well made with precisely cut openings for buttons and ports. The ports are covered by flaps of the case material that fold back easily to give access to the ports while protecting the ports at the same time. The buttons are covered in a molded area of the case material to prevent binding or sticking of buttons when the case is installed. The molded button areas also ensure that you can still feel the buttons even when the case is installed.

The material the cases are made from also has embedded Microban antimicrobial protection. The iSkin Vibes case sells for $29.99 and the Vibes FX case sells for $32.99. Both cases are available now.

Verdict
