Today I am checking out a cool toy from Jakks Pacific called the Eye Clops 2.0 or also listed as Eyeclops Night Vision V2. These night vision goggles let kids and adults see in total darkness and they are very cool. If you are already gearing up for your holiday shopping and have a kid 8+ on your shopping list, the Eye Clops 2.0 Night Vision Binoculars may be perfect.
Features & Specifications
The Eye Clops 2.0 Night Vision Binoculars are powered by tech similar to what you find inside a camcorder that can record in 0 lux environments. The goggles use an IR light source that glows red when active and allows the wearer to see for up to 50 feet. The goggles have a long range mode and a stealth mode for close up situations.
In Use
The Eye Clops 2.0 Night Vision Binoculars are very cool and my 8-year-old nearly had a fit with excitement when I pulled them out of the box of goodies that Jakks sent my way to test out. The Eye Clops 2.0 Night Vision Binoculars allow the wearer to see out of both eyes so your depth perception is still there.
I took them into a completely dark room and I could see everything exactly as you would expect night vision tech to work. Looking through the goggles is just like what you see on movies and TV when soldiers employ night vision tech in the field.
The Eye Clops 2.0 Night Vision Binoculars are focus adjustable and have a knob of the top of them that you rotate to adjust the focus. The focus range is very good. The original Eye Clops night vision goggles were designed to be worn on the head. The Eye Clops 2.0 Night Vision Binoculars are hand held devices that you hold up to your eyes.
Power for the Eye Clops 2.0 Night Vision Binoculars comes from five AA batteries. The stealth mode produces less light from the IR source so details close up aren’t as blown out and overly bright. The other mode makes more light to allow you to see further away. You can also change whether you see the subject in green or white hue. Every kid that tried the Eye Clops 2.0 Night Vision Binoculars was very impressed and couldn’t wait to see what was going on in the back yard when the sun went down. I had quite a bit of fun with the Eye Clops 2.0 Night Vision Binoculars too. The Eye Clops 2.0 Night Vision Binoculars are available now for $59.99 and will make a great gift.

Cons
Verdict
The Eye Clops 2.0 Night Vision Binoculars are tons of fun and may well be the coolest gift you can give a kid who likes to play in the dark. The Eye Clops 2.0 Night Vision Binoculars really work and adults can have fun with them too.
