Sanyo is supposed to introduce the PLV-Z5 LCD home cinema projector at the Photokina show in Cologne end of September.
Some specifications and even a review (German) of a pre-production model already appeared of the PLV-Z5, which is the follow-up model to the very successful PLV-Z4.
The new PLV-Z5 features the same design, but has a couple of improvements. This new HD (1,280x720px) LCD beamer features two HDMI ports (the Z4 has only one), improved contrast, optimized white balance and color calibration. The preliminary test by Cine4Home says that the PLV-Z5 improved the few small short-comings of the PLV-Z4.
The PLV-Z5 should hit store-shelves soon after its introduction at the Photokina. A black version is also supposed to be available besides the silver one.
