Today I am looking at the Kicker EB71 earphones. The earphones are in-ear style and offers three different size ear tips for the user to choose from. The lightweight earphones are made from plastic and are available in several different colors at a bargain price. Read on for all of the details.
Specifications
The Kicker EB71 earphones are an in-ear style earphone that are made from plastic and have three different size plastic ear tips for comfortable fit. The earphones use a 3.5mm plug and the cord is 47-inches long. The drivers use a neodymium magnet and have an impedance of 32 ohm and a frequency response of 29Hz to 19.5kHz.
In Use
One of the best things about the Kicker EB71 earphones is that they are very lightweight and comfortable to wear. The lightweight makes the ear buds comfortable for long-term use and you hardly notice they are in your ears. The cable is long enough that you can move around without any binding or catching of the cable.
The earphones can be had in gray/black, blue/white, all black, white/black, and pink/white colors. The MSRP is only $23.95 making the headphones one of the cheapest pairs I have reviewed. As a cheap entry-level set of earphones, they perform well.
The sound produced is well balanced and clear with good mids and highs. The level of bass produced is not as great as many of the other earphones that I have tested. That said the earphones with superior bass tend to cost quite a bit more money.
If heavy bass is what you are after you can find better earphones, but they will cost more. The earphones have a connector that is small enough to fit into the port of an iPhone or any other mobile phone or PMP that uses a 3.5mm jack.
Pros
Cons
Verdict
The Kicker EB71 earphones are a great entry-level set of earphones for those not needing the deepest bass available. This is a good set of all-around earphones at a good price.
