New Kenwood HD30GB9 Music Player with Supreme EX

Kenwood updates its 30GB portable music player HD30GA9 that is currently on the market in Japan with the HD30GB9.

Update:
Kenwood HD30GB9 On Sale Internationally

The main difference is what Kenwood calls Supreme EX. Supreme EX is a new digital amplifier that even more improves the audio quality on the Kenwood digital music players.

Supreme EX interpolates frequencies above 16kHz for instance that are lost in the compression of MP3 and WMA files.
Kenwood also offers a lossless playback, which is of course anyway the way to go if you are an audiophile. The Kenwood HD30GB9 'Music Keg' measures 61×104×17mm. Features include 20 hour battery life, 2.2 inch color screen, 8.0mW headphone output, USB 2.0 and WMA-DRM support.
More details in this Kenwood press-release (Japanese).

Japanese Gadget exporter Audio Cubes is currently selling the Kenwood HD30GA9. I guess they will offer the new model as soon as it is released, which should still happen this month in Japan.
