The main difference is what Kenwood calls Supreme EX. Supreme EX is a new digital amplifier that even more improves the audio quality on the Kenwood digital music players.

Kenwood also offers a lossless playback, which is of course anyway the way to go if you are an audiophile.
The Kenwood HD30GB9 'Music Keg' measures 61×104×17mm. Features include 20 hour battery life, 2.2 inch color screen, 8.0mW headphone output, USB 2.0 and WMA-DRM support.
