This is big news for all Sony PS3 fans (everyone who does not live in Japan or the United States) who will not see the Sony PS3 on the shelves in their country this holiday season. Japanese gadget exporter Audio Cubes opened pre-order and published a price for the 20GB Sony PS3.
Audio Cubes tells us that they do not have a price yet for the more interesting 60GB Sony PS3.
Update:
Sony PS3 60GB Premium Now Available for Pre-Order
If you are in the market for the 20GB Sony PS3 the import price is set at $699.00. At first this price looks high, but actually if you convert the European pricing (499 Euro) for the basic Sony PS3 you only pay a $70 premium. Pre-Order now.
With the now dramatically lower numbers of available Sony PS3 consoles this price could even play out as a bargain.
I went and got my down payment back from the German retailer I pre-ordered my Sony PS3 from. I will get my Sony PS3 also in Japan. No way for me to wait until next Spring.
Lik-Sang and Play-Asia did not start yet to take pre-orders on Sony Playstation 3 consoles, neither did these Japanese game exporter set a price yet.
