The Bandshell comes in 12 different colors that can be mixed and matched with different back, fronts, and sound doors. The case is made from a ridged plastic that will protect the phone from drops. It also has a sliding door that angles to reflect the sound from the speakers at the listener and a flat bottom to allow the iPhone to stand upright for watching videos. The case sells for $19.99.

In Use
The maker of the Bandshell case sent me a box with all 12 colors for review. The cases are very brightly colored and don’t add too much bulk to the phone. The hard sides of the case should mean that the iPhone is protected well in the event you drop it. No screen protector is included with the cases.

The case is easy to install on the phone with a snap apart design that lets you place the iPhone inside with ease. The case snaps firmly enough that it should not fall off if you drop the phone on a hard surface. The colors of the case are very bright and the range of colors will ensure that there is a color for everyone.

My wife recently started using an iPhone rather than a Blackberry and she really liked the cases. Many of the colors are more suited to women than guys. She particularly liked that you can mix and match the case colors allowing her to match her outfit. A case can be designed with as many as three colors if you take a front, back, and sound door of different colors and snap them together. Buying all 12 of the cases will get expensive, but it is cool to mix and match and everyone that saw her phone really liked the case.

The flat bottom of the case allows the iPhone to stand up and in testing it never fell over. The sliding sound door works well and does focus the sound at the user more than just using the phone without one. The sound door also helps improve the volume when you are using the speakerphone too. This is a very cool case for the iPhone that serves several different functions.
