Today I am checking out the Arctic C2 USB charger. This device plugs into your wall AC outlet, no matter what country you are in, and has four USB ports. If you have lost one of your USB chargers or are tired of having devices plugged in all over the house, the Arctic C2 USB charger is for you. Read on for all of the details.
Specifications
The Arctic C2 USB charger is a four-port USB charger that operates on 100V - 240V AC. It ships with four adapters that allow it to operate on the different plug standards around the world including the US and Europe. Power output at each USB port is 5V at 2A. The device measures 75mm L x 50mm W x 28mm D and weighs 78g for the charger alone.
In Use
My wife and I each have an iPhone that charges via USB, my son uses my old iPhone to play games, and my daughter plays with an iPod touch frequently. At any given time, we may have four different Apple devices vying for the outlets in our house, which are mostly full.
If you are in a similar situation where you have many devices needing to charge from an AC outlet USB charger, the Arctic C2 USB charger is perfect. The one charger is about three times as large as the Apple USB adapter, but packs in four USB ports. The Arctic C2 USB charger has four different front plug designs that fit outlets all over the world. The only one most of us will be interested in is the American plug, but should you travel overseas this thing will still do the trick.
It is a long charger so you might end up losing the adjacent plug when it is plugged in. The plug adapters fit snugly when they are attached, but are easy to change when you need to. The Arctic C2 USB charger has a LED on the front that shows when it is getting power and charging your devices. You do have to provide your own USB charge cables for your devices with the Arctic C2 USB charger.
The little charger is easy to use, convenient and does exactly what it says it will do. It sells for $26.55 plus shipping and the only real downside is the fact that you may not be able to use the plug above or below where you plug the Arctic C2 USB charger into the wall.
Pros
Cons
Verdict
The Arctic C2 USB charger is a slick little device that will charge four of your USB gadgets anywhere in the world on the cheap.
