MySpace launched their video sharing service just 6 month ago and it already generates more video views than Yahoo! video and Youtube.
According to comScore Media Metrix, MySpace served 1.4 billion videos in July 2006. Yahoo! served 812 million and YouTube is third with 649 million. MySpace Video is already more than twice as big as Youtube.
Now I understand why Microsoft is building their own MSN SoapBox Video sharing service.
It looks like YouTube can not translate their first mover advantage into something that cannot be copied easily by someone with a major audience.
