Crucial 2GB Gizmo! Overdrive w/ Security Software Review

Flash drives are very useful devices. You can do all sorts of stuff with them from carrying your favorite music and photos with you to important office documents from home and the office.

The problem that should be most feared by flash drive users is loosing the drive and having someone else find it, allowing them access to the data on the drive. The Gizmo! Overdrive up for review today includes security software that encrypts the data you place in the portable vault section.Review excerpt: "The Gizmo! Overdrive is a dual channel flash drive that is fully USB 2.0 compliant. Write speeds are a claimed 80X (13MB/s) with claimed read speeds of 160X. A small LED light on the side of the drive flashes to visually alert you when the drive is being accessed. The security software utilizes 256kb Blowfish-level encryption to protect sensitive data. There is also a hide function that allows you to completely hide the encrypted partition on the drive so it can't even be seen."
