The lapboard could prove to be excellent peripherals for media center use thanks to its combination of a keyboard with a mouse pad area underneath. That is assuming the wireless range is adequate to reach across the living room. The keyboard also rotates 360 degrees so it will work for right and left handed users. A full range of media controls keys are included for volume, play and mute. The keyboard can be hinged up at 22 degrees for laptop use or lie flat for desktop use.
Compatibility is with Mac & Windows including Media Center. Ship date is set for November and the pricing is set at $129.95. However, if you pre-order you can get a $30 discount making it $99. Buy your own media center keyboard here.
