Today I am looking at the Kenneth Cole Touch Screen Watch called the New York. The watch uses touch sensors to allow the user to adjust the settings on the watch. If you like watches and are in the market for a new watch with style and cool features, read on for all of the details on the Kenneth Cole New York Touch Screen Watch.
Specifications
The Kenneth Cole New York Touch Screen Watch comes in white, black with black face, black with silver face, and orange with black face styles. The watches range from $125 to $150 depending on the style. The band is rubber on all the watches and the face is 38mm.
In Use
Watches are more than a way for some people to tell time, they are a fashion statement and many folks like to simply collect them. The latest watch from Kenneth Cole is the Kenneth Cole New York Touch Screen Watch. My review unit is the white strap with the silver face and white trim. The watch has an average size face for a mens watch despite its unisex design it may be too large for many women.
The watch doesn’t have the buttons arrayed around the watch face that you typically see on a digital watch. The only button on the outside of the watch is the one that turns the touch sensors on and off. You press the button on the side once and the "T" comes up on the watch face to tell you the watch is in touch screen mode.
Once in touchscreen mode you can then touch the labels around the face of the watch to access different functions from the backlight to the watch mode and programming options. Rather than simply setting the time on the watch and then having to adjust for time zones or for DST time when it starts and stops, you choose cities on the Kenneth Cole New York Touch Screen Watch to set the time zone.
If you travel a lot that is a very nice feature. I will say that the fonts used on the watch are very hard to read when it comes to figuring out what city the abbreviations for time zone are talking about. I had to get out the instructions to see what the letters stood for. The watch also has a DST feature that will automatically take an hour away from the time when off and add an hour when on.
The watch is water resistant and should stand up to hand washing and splashes without issue. I am concerned that the white band will get dirty quickly or discolor with sweat as you use the watch. Functions of the watch include a stopwatch and alarm. The watch face shows the time, day and sate on the face along with DST if active and the city abbreviation for the time zone.
Pros
Cons
Verdict
The Kenneth Cole New York Touch Screen Watch is a cool watch that has adjustments with the touch sensors on the front of the face. Multiple color options are available and the watch is cool.
