Since Maxtor doesn’t have its own 750 GB HDD, it is safe to assume the drives inside the slick Maxtor case are the Seagate 750 GB drives. While the drives ship formatted for Mac use, it is easy to reformat them for use with Windows.Backup software is included that automatically saves your important data to the external drive. Interfaces for the new 1.5 TB drive are FireWire 800, FireWire 400 and USB 2.0. Pricing for the 1.5 TB version is $799 and the drive should be available this month.
