Besides Japan also Europe will get the top model in the new noise canceling Network Walkman Series NW-S700F.
Why Sony is not offering the 4GB NW-S706F in the United States is a mystery to me.
The MSRP for the NW-S706F in the UK is £189.00 (~$351). Amazon.UK already takes orders for £189.00 and ships it in 1-2 weeks.
Europe also gets the new NW-S600 series mp3 players, which are also not announced for the United States.
The WALKMAN NW-S700 series will be available throughout Europe from the end of October 2006 and NW-S600 series will be available throughout Europe from November 2006.
More details in the Sony Europe NW-S700 and NW-S600 press-release.
Sony will throw a big party in Japan on October 21st to launch the NW-S700 series. Amongst the performing artists is cult DJ Towa Tei.
