Today I am checking out the Booq Taipan Spacesuit XS iPad sleeve. This sleeve is covered in and out with a slippery material that will prevent scratches and looks nice. The neoprene material will also absorb shocks if you drop the iPad. Read on for all of the details on the Booq Taipan Spacesuit XS.

The Booq Taipan Spacesuit XS sleeve measures 10.6 x 8.5 x 1-inches and will fit the iPad and netbooks up to 9.6" x 7.5" x 0.5". The sleeve is made from 3mm thick neoprene and has a slippery outer and inner coating. The zipper is an YKK unit good for years of use and the inside is coated with jersey material to keep the zipper from scratching your iPad. The Booq Taipan Spacesuit XS is available now for $29.99.

In Use
The Booq Taipan Spacesuit XS is an interesting sleeve for the iPad. The thing will fit other similarly sized gadgets as well. The outer covering of the sleeve is a textures slippery looking material that reminds me of spacesuits, which is where the sleeve gets its name.

The sleeve has 3mm thick neoprene to cushion the iPad inside during travel and in case you drop it. The outside of the Booq Taipan Spacesuit XS is black and the inner material is red. The red inside makes it easy to see things inside the case if you put cables or other small items in with the iPad.

The iPad slips easily into the Booq Taipan Spacesuit XS and it fits just right. Anything larger than the iPad will not fit without stretching the material. In addition to the black with red interior I am reviewing, the Booq Taipan Spacesuit XS also comes in berry and black (the opposite of my review case) or silver and teal. The textured surface of the red and silver version makes the Booq Taipan Spacesuit XS take on a bit of a draped curtain look, which is girly. Guys may prefer the black version since the design looks more masculine.

The Booq Taipan Spacesuit XS is covered by a five-year warranty on materials and workmanship. My experience with Booq is that the products are very high quality and issues are exceedingly rare. The Booq Taipan Spacesuit XS is a cool looking sleeve for the iPad that will work well for protection while you travel.

The Booq Taipan Spacesuit XS is a nice sleeve for your iPad that should offer more protection. The only thing that really sets it apart from any other sleeve on the market is the textured space suit style exterior.
