This shutdown comes as a result of multiple legal actions against Lik-Sang brought by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Limited and Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.

Sony denies in a statement to be directly responsible for shutting down Lik-Sang. More details on Games Daily Biz.Sony claimed that Lik-Sang infringed its trade marks, copyright and registered design rights by selling Sony PSP consoles from Asia to European customers. Sony recently obtained a judgment from the high Court of London (England) rendering Lik-Sang's sales of PSP consoles unlawful.
