Giant Kodak i1680 Scanner Does 200 PPM

Kodak is introducing one giant honking commercial scanner that can scan 200 pages-per-minute. That’s fast; you could scan War & Peace in what a week? For ease of use Kodak added an LCD touch screen and automatic height adjustment.

SurePath technology along with three ultrasonic multi-feed detection sensors helps to ensure paper jams aren’t frequent with this behemoth. Five output formats allow you the freedom to scan all sorts of documents.Scan resolution is 300 dpi and a 500 sheet automatic paper feeds keeps the super fast scan speed going, for a couple minutes anyway. You can also choose to export to JPEG/TIFF files. Connectivity is via FireWire and the price my give you a stroke. How’s $104,605?! And be sure you have the place to put this beast; it weighs in at 480-pounds! Buy your own scanner here.
