The Sony Playstation 3 went on sale at midnight across the United States. The hunt is on, or maybe already over for a Sony PS3.
60GB Sony PS3 consoles sell on average for about $2,000 on eBay right now. I did a quick check on the major online stores and the Sony PS3 is nowhere available so far.
Reports of long lines in front of stores that opened at midnight confirm that there is just much more demand than there are Sony PS3 consoles shipping in the US. Gizmodo has several reports from different stores across the US.
