We reported about the Mvix Wireless HD Media Center already in May. I got tons of emails asking when this wireless HDD enclosure is finally available. Our favorite geek store ThinkGeek is selling it now - Yippie!
The Unicorn MVix AV HDD enclosure takes 3.5 inch hard-drives and connects via 802.11b/g/pre-N MIMO wirelessly to your network. On the AV side it connects via Composite, S-Video, Component, and DVI to your home entertainment center. The MVix is of course supporting High Definition. You can view video with HD Component Y, Pb, Pr (480p, 720p, 1080i) or HD DVI (480, 720, 1080i, 1080p).
This cool wireless HD AV HDD enclosure supports Mpeg-1/2/4, VOB, WMV 9, DivX, and Xvid. It'll play also your MP3's, WMA's, AAC's, Ogg files, or straight-up WAV and AC3.
ThinkGeek sells the Mvix Wireless HD Media Center sells for $299.99.
(Update: Now marked as out of stock, but you can pre-order and it will ship early December).
The measurements of the Mvix Wireless HD Media Center are 187mm(w) x 193mm(h) x 58mm(d) or 7.4"(w) x 7.6"(h) x 2.3"(d).
