Personal AC Unit for Your Desk

Personal AC Unit for Your Desk

Oh how I wish this would really work! This gadget is a desktop air conditioner unit that uses ice water to cool the air around your desk. Folks in warmer climates, like me, that sit at the desk all day in front of two gaming PCs putting out what feels like 1million BTUs probably feel the same way.

Sure its pretty goofy that it uses ice water, but when its 105 F outside in the summer and 95F inside thanks to an FX-62 and a X6800 running full tilt you would take any device that offers the mere thought of a cooler day too. This gadget is even fairly cheap at $24. Honestly I would be more worried about the ice water leaking out and frying my computer than it not working well. Where are the real desktop AC units? Story and image via Gizmodo.
