Yesterday I had the chance to see a mock up of the Razer Mako speakers and today I was able to hear the first functional pair of the speakers in action. The Mako is a 2.1 system set at an estimated price of $299. The cool part of the speakers is that they use an omni directional system that allows for great sound at any point in the room no matter if you are right in front of the speakers or beside them. The sound quality was fantastic with great highs and mids and fantastic bass. Razer is positioning this system for music lovers and not nessacrily pushing the system for gamers which is really different for them. However, I think that these speakers will really rock for gaming and I can’t wait to try out a set. Estimated delivery is around March.
