You can use the burner to write the entire contents of the hard drive or specific clips direct to DVD without the use of the PC. You can also use the DVD burner to watch DVDs so long as it is connected to the camcorder.The only Everio camcorders not supported by the burner are the HD models. Availability is set for February in Japan and it seems this particular model isn’t coming to the states.
