You cannot call the OLPC XO Laptop $100 laptop anymore, but the ultra-lowcost Laptop for kids in third world countries makes progress.

Hardware manufacturer Quanta Computer produced the 2nd pre-production OLPC XO B2.
Heise reports that the current production cost of the OLPC are $140. Which is close enough I would say.
Quanta Computer announced in their financial statement that they increase the target for the OLPC production numbers from 5 million to 10 million units.
