Now Microsoft officially announced the new Windows Mobile 6 version. The new Microsoft smartphone OS did already leak a couple of days ago, but now all the official information about the update is available.
This is not a mind blowing new release and rather a solid update with lots of improvements and Windows Vista support.
New features in Windows Mobile 6 include rich HTML e-mail, increased functionality within Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile and Office Mobile programs, and improved security and device management for IT managers.
The first Windows Mobile 6 smartphones will be hitting the market in Q2 2007. In Europe, Orange plans to deliver the SPV E650 smartphone from HTC, and in Japan, SoftBank Mobile Corp. will offer new devices from Toshiba and HTC. And in the United States, the T-Mobile Dash will be updated with Windows Mobile 6 and be available in the coming months.
Good news for current T-Mobile Dash (HTC S620 owners, you will be able to upgrade your Dash to Windows Mobile 5.0 to Windows Mobile 6.
