Q Research (London) has revealed in its research how much money consumers between the ages of 11-25 are paying to download MP3 music to their PC’s and MP3 players. Almost half of consumers under 20 pay nothing for their music, while the mature 20-24 year olds are the big spenders, putting out up to £10 to £20 a month.
On a slightly different note, three quarters of the respondents said that they would like to be able to listen to music on their mobile phone, with male respondents (81%) favouring it slightly more than female respondents (72%).
Of those who do download music weather they pay for it or not the most popular MP3 player by far is the iPod.
