Star Trek Voice Operated Dimmer, a Geeks Clapper

Somewhere out there a Trekkie geek is about to burst a blood vessel. If you like the convenience of a device like the Clapper, but the Clapper just isn’t quite geeky enough for you how about a Star Trek Voice Operated dimmer?

Plug this thing in between your lamp and the out let and you can dim the lights in your room via voice commands straight from the bridge of the Enterprise. Alas it doesn’t appear to recognize anything with the word tachyon in it but you can say “Computer lights to 50%” and have them dim to 50%.Not only that, but the dimmer also responds to your commands in the voice of Majel Roddenberry, the same guy who voiced the computer on Star Trek The Next Generation. If you are a geek on a budget, this dimmer is even pretty cheap at $39.95. Story and Image via OhGizmo!
