Canon introduces the stylish Powershot TX1 HD camcorder.

The Canon Powershot TX1 features a 7.1MP resolution and 10x optical zoom lens that is protected by a stainless-steel barrier (photo below) that slides away when you power-on this very intriging camera.
Other features include 115,000-pixel Vari-Angle LCD screen, 30 fps High Definition (HD) 720p widescreen (16:9) video recording, component video output interface, optical image stabilization, DIGIC III image processor, Face Detection AF/AE/FE function and up to 1600 ISO.The Canon PowerShot TX1 digital camera accommodates standard SD memory cards and the new, high-capacity SDHC memory cards as well as MultiMedia and MMCplus cards.
The TX1 will be in stores beginning in March 2007 for an MSRP of only $499.99!
By going under $500, HD video recording is about to become the standard and Canon is leading the charge. The new Sanyo Xacti VCP-HD2 has a price of $699.99 and will ship end of March.
