Not only does the remote look very similar to the original Star Trek phaser, it even has licensed sounds from the original series from Paramount Pictures. When you press the buttons to change channels you get real sounds from Star Trek.Naturally after the first few minutes you’ll be tired of hearing the phaser sound and to that end there is a mute button that kills the sound effects. A library of codes should mean this remote will work with most any TV or AV device around. It seems they are sold out right now at Phone Phun, but more should be coming. Story and image via Gizmodo.
