Bose is better known for making really expensive headphones and tiny stereos is putting out a new device for your car with the unassuming name Bose Media System. This one head unit appears to be a double din design to fit in most of the newer cars.
Integrating lots of car gadgets into one device the Bose Media System includes a CD player, SACD, DVD-A, MP3, and AAC files burned onto CD or DVD-R. Satellite radio users will appreciate the XM compatibility in addition to FM and AM as well. The system has an internal HDD that claims to hold up to 200 hours of content though no capacity is mentioned. Bluetooth connectivity allows for wireless connections and GPS is built in as well. No word on pricing, but considering it will debut in the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti expect it to be expensive. The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
