The Halo 3 release for the Xbox 360 is still over half a year away, but the expensive Halo 3 Legendary Edition already is the topselling item in the video games category on Amazon.com.
Update 07/10/07:
Xbox 360 Halo Edition announced
We reported already about the Halo 3 Legendary Edition back in January when it appeared for pre-order on Wal-mart. Back then the price was $99.82, now it is a whopping $129.99. Microsoft announced this pricing a couple days ago along with the other Halo 3 package details.
The Legendary Edition is currently sold out on Amazon.com. There is also a pre-order limit of 1 unit per order. Gamestop is taking pre-orders though.
Besides the Legendary there is the The Limited Edition ($69.99 U.S. ERP) and the Standard Edition ($59.99 U.S. ERP) of Halo 3 up for crabs.
The release of Halo 3 on the Xbox 360 is specified officially with Fall 2007. Wal-mart and Gamestop specify a November 1st shipping date for Halo 3.
About the Halo 3 Legendary Edition
The Legendary Edition will be released in limited quantities and arrive in a Spartan helmet case along with two bonus disks full of supplemental content and an illuminating collection of original Halo 3 storyboard art from artist Lee Wilson.
