My son has a serious love for monster trucks. He has this monster truck crash video that is impossible to find these days. Naturally as kids are certain to do when left alone with DVDs for too long he has scratched it to the point that the video is unwatchable.

I have tried the DVD and CD cleaners that use friction to remove scratches from the surface to no avail. A company called Skip-Away has a new DVD and CD repair solution that doesn’t use friction to remove scratches, rather is use heat. The Skip-Away machine literally melts the scratches off your discs. The only bad part about the system, other than it’s not available till Fathers Day is the price. At $250 you better really need to fix whatever disc you want to repair. To any parent of a 5 year old, $250 is a pittance in the face of a tantrum over their favorite flick being broken when it can’t be replaced. I’m the first in line when this thing launches.
