Panasonic announces two new AVCHD (1920x1080i) camcorder in Japan. The HDC-SD3 records HD with 1920×1080i resolution onto SD cards and the HDC-DX3 records onto DVD discs.
The Panasonic HDC-SD3 is the world's lightest AVCHD camcorder on the market with 490g (incl. battery and SD card). With a 4GB SDHC card you can record 90min. of HD video with the HDC-SD3.
Both new HD video cameras feature a 3CCD chip, 12x optical zoom, 30x digital zoom, 2.1MP still image camera, 3 inch monitor and Dolby Digital 5.1ch audio.
The Panasonic HDC-DX3 records onto 8cm DVD-RAM discs.
The measurements of the HDC-SD3 are 74× height 69× depth 142mm. The HDC-DX3 is a bit larger with measurements of 92× height 91× depth 163mm.
Both new full HD Panasonic video cameras go on sale on April 25th in Japan.
