The Japanese Plen robot kit pretty advanced. The robot is able to figure skate on his little wheels under his feet or ride a skateboard. Watch the video below to see Plen in action.
These elegant moves do not come cheap. Japanese Gadget exporter Audio Cubes is now offering the Plen robot kit for $2,399.00 internationally (Price in Japan is 262,000 Yen (~$2,205).
This is a limited edition robot kit and only 50 units will be made by the Japanese robot manufacturer Akazawa.
Depending on demand Akazawa will produce maybe more Plen robot kits in the future.
The Plen robot is controlled wirelessly via Bluetooth from a PC or mobile phone.
Features include: 18 Degrees of Freedom, gyro sensors for motion stability and a Nickel hydrogen 6V-950mA battery.
Plen is 228mm tall and weighs 696g. The robot comes with software.
