When I look back on my college days what I recall the most was the frantic study time getting ready for exams. Lots of my friends used flash cards but I typically didn’t. That certainly wasn’t due to the fact that they didn’t help with studying. Typically I bummed the flash cards from friends after they were done.
Why didn’t I just make my own? Well it was time consuming and I have the penmanship of a drunken sailor trying to write while the ship is sailing through a hurricane. I mean my writing is so bad that frequently I have no idea what I wrote myself. If there was an easier way to make the flash cards I might have made them myself. If you have been to a college in the last several years you know that most everyone has a notebook PC or a PDA. A new application called PC Flash Cards aims to digitize this tried and true study method to make it easier to make the flash cards and easier to keep up with them. This would have been perfect for chemistry class where you need to know the shape of some molecules, you can actually add pictures to your flash cards.

About the Geek Mind
The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
