Palm held a Analyst and Investor Day today in New York and told analysts, actually not that much, besides that the smartphone market is growing to $36 billion by 2009.
Question remains if Palm can grow with the market, despite the new entries into the smartphone market.
Palm did not comment on the rumors that Palm is up for sale. The company does not see Apple's upcoming iPhone a competitor in the business market.
Palm also revealed that they have now a Linux OS strategy. They will continue to do Windows Mobile devices for businesses and will merge their Palm OS into an open source Linux kernel that should continue to support the Palm OS community. See Engadget for a diagram.
