With HDMI cables running up to £80 and beyond, one market that's mostly out of everyone's price league is that of HDMI source selectors. Fortunately, UK-based Lindy Electronics has launched a new switch box that retails for under £60.
Most basic HDTV sets only have one HDMI port, like mine, which means I'm out of luck if I want to run my HD cable box and my PS3 through HDMI. However, the Lindy HDMI 2 Port switch, which is HDCP compliant, can solve that problem for about £59.The switch promises not to compromise HD video, anywhere up to 1080p, and it also offers lossless sound. For those who aren't aware, some HDMI switches run for as much as £200, so £59 isn't half bad.
