BFG Announces Water Cooled NVIDIA 8800 Ultra

Today BFG Technologies is announcing two models of the flagship NVIDIA 8800 Ultra graphics cards. Both the cards have the same clock speeds and specifications with the one main difference being one card comes from the factory with a water cooling block installed.

“We’re excited to bring an Ultra class product back to BFG’s product line-up,” said Dean Brady, Sr. Director of Marketing for BFG Technologies. “The Ultra name has always stood for unbeatable performance and our new BFG NVIDIA GeForce 8800 Ultra graphics cards are no exception.”

The BFG 8800 Ultra has 128 unified stream processors running at 1500MHz and boas a memory bandwidth of 103.7GB/s. The core clock of both cards is 612MHz and the memory clock for the 768MB of RAM is 2160MHz. The water block for the water cooled edition was co-developed by Danger Den.

Both versions of the card are available right now from the BFG store, with the water cooled version built to order. The water cooled version has a fantastic added benefit, it is a single slot design. Currently BFG is having a special that offers the first 25 water cooled 8800 Ultra graphics cards for $829, which is the same price as the fan cooled card. After the first 25 water cooled versions are sold the price goes up to $999. Story and image via BFG.
