Samsung ships the updated UMPC Q1 Ultra in the United States. Samsung announced the Q1 Ultra in March at the CeBit in Germany.
The Samsung Q1 Ultra features integrated thumb buttons, smaller form factor than the Q1 and lighter weight. The screen is now featuring LED backlit and 1024x600px resolution. There are several configurations available featuring HSDPA, up to 80GB disk, 600/800MHz Intel Ultra Mobile CPU, WiFi, Bluetooth and runs Vista Home Premium or XP.
The different Q1 Ultra UMPCs will be released over the next couple of month.
PC World has a report with some hands-on experience with the Q1 Ultra. Their verdict: "I doubt the Q1 Ultra will be the device that ignites a fire under this not-quite-a-notebook and not-quite-a-smartphone niche."
