Sony Ericsson announces the Sony Ericsson P1, the 5th generation smartphone in the company's P series - 25% smaller than P990.
The Sony Ericsson P1 supports a wide range of push email solutions and Web browsing applications, plus connectivity via hi-speed UMTS and Wireless LAN. The feature packed smartphone only measures 106x55x17mm (4.17x2.16x0.66inch) (photos).
Other features of the new Sony Ericsson P1 include dual function keyboard with QWERTY support, 3.2MP camera, 2.6 inch touch-screen, VOIP support, Business card scanning, video calling and media player.The P1 runs Symbian OS v9.1.
The Sony Ericsson P1 is a Tri-Band GPRS 900/1800/1900 and UMTS 2100 handset with Wi-Fi 802.11b. It will be available in selected markets from Q3 2007.
