Fujitsu announces the FMV-U8240 Vista UMPC. The U Series is the world's smallest tablet-convertible UMPC, weighing only 580g and with a thickness of only 26.5mm.
The Fujitsu FMV-U8240 is based on new Intel Ultra Mobile Platform 2007.
Features of the FMV-U8240 include 5.6 inch screen with 1,024x600px resolution, QWERTY keyboard, 512MB/1GB RAM, Intel A110 800Mhz CPU, 20GB HDD and 8 hour battery life.
The XP version ships mid-June and the Vista FMV-U8240 ships early July. The Vista model will sell for 164,000 Yen (~$1,359). Currently pricing and shipping dates only apply to Japan.
