Hitachi DeskStar 7K1000 1TB 3.5 inch HDD Review

Today we are looking at the largest capacity hard disk drive around, the 1TB Hitachi DeskStar 7K1000 HDD. This drive not only has massive storage capacity, but it bests the Western digital 10k RPM Raptor in several benchmarks.

If you are a hard care PC gamer looking for more space for your games, a digital music fan or a lover of digital video the Hitachi 7K1000 HDD is the drive you want in your PC.

Review excerpt: “The Hitachi DeskStar 7K1000 1TB HDD uses the familiar 3.5” form factor and spins at 7,200 rpm. The drive uses the SATA 3.0 GB/s interface, though if your mainboard doesn’t support that speed you can configure the drive to run at the older, slower SATA speed. Hitachi claims seek times of 8.5ms read and 9.2ms write and the drive uses perpendicular recording technology.” Read the full review of the Hitachi DeskStar 7K1000 HDD here.
