Attention Sky+ customers - you'll soon have an extra £10 per month in your pocket. That's because Sky is scrapping the fee associated with the premium service. Those not brave enough to pay the extra fee will finally be able to try out Sky+.
"As of 1st July 2007, the Sky+ subscription charge of £10 will be removed for all Sky Digital customers subscribed to any Sky Digital package," said a company spokesperson on the Sky forums.Of course, Sky+ still requires a digital box, which costs £99, or £30 with a 12-month subscription. Of course, anything that carries the word "free" these days is a huge deal.
